Description

Custom Metal Sheet Working Electrode with PTFE Shroud (Fully Customizable)

Ordering Notice: Due to the extensive variety of metallic substrates, foil thicknesses, and dimensions available, not all configurations can be listed simultaneously. The standard base price matches our baseline specification: 10 × 10 × 0.1 mm. For bespoke dimensions, proprietary alloys, or non-standard shaft scales, please contact our support team for a formal custom quote.

Product Overview

Engineered specifically for high-precision laboratory electrochemical cells and materials characterization setups, this Custom Metal Sheet Working Electrode features an interchangeable metallic foil substrate integrated with a chemically inert, heavy-wall PTFE insulating rod, terminated with a premium gold-plated copper binding post for low-resistance connectivity.

The baseline configuration features a 10 mm × 10 mm × 0.1 mm foil. Substrate geometry, foil thickness, elemental composition, shaft sizing, and contact mechanisms can be fully customized to eliminate cell volume constraints or bypass meniscus-induced background current errors.

Our standard portfolio covers high-purity single metals (purity ≥99.99%) including Fe, Cu, Ni, Ti, Mg, Zn, Al, Pt, Au, Ag, and Graphite, alongside multi-element commercial engineering alloys like Stainless Steel (304 / 316L).

Custom Metal Sheet Working Electrode

Key Features

Custom Metal Sheet Electrode with PTFE Rod
  • Versatile Substrate Portfolio: Available in Fe, Cu, Ni, Ti, Mg, Zn, Al, Pt, Au, Ag, Graphite (≥99.99% elemental purity) and standard corrosion-resistant stainless steel grades.
  • Flexible Foil Customization: Comprehensive support for tailored foil thicknesses, non-standard active geometric surface shapes, and extended metal shunts.
  • Robust Electrochemical Shielding: Precision-machined PTFE shroud (Ø6 × 80 mm) yields total cross-solvent compatibility, high dielectric insulation, and boundary leak prevention.
  • Low Contact Resistance: Premium gold-plated copper terminal pin (Ø2 × 20 mm) eliminates oxidation artifacts and ensures highly reproducible, stable signal transmission.

Typical Applications

  • Routine Voltammetric Analysis (Cyclic Voltammetry – CV, Linear Sweep Voltammetry – LSV)
  • Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) Diagnostics & Capacitance Profiling
  • Chronoamperometric / Chronopotentiometric Long-Term Stability Runs
  • Aqueous & Non-Aqueous Metal Corrosion Studies & Protective Coating Evaluations
  • Electrocatalyst Substrate Characterization, Battery Materials R&D, and Sensor Prototyping
